Bread Pakoda 🥔🧇
Ingredients - Potato Filling:
7 - 8 Garlic Cloves
3 Chillies
2tbsp Oil
1/2tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4tsp Asafoetida
1 Sprig Curry Leaves
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
3 Boiled Potatoes
1tsp Salt
Chopped Coriander
Ingredients - Batter :
1.5 Cups Chickpea Flour
1tsp Salt
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
Water as required to make a thick batter
A pinch of Soda Bi Carbonate
Other Ingredients :
Slice Bread
Method :
1. Coarsely grind garlic and chillies
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add curry leaves and let it crackle.
3. Add coarsely grpund paste pf garlic and chillies. Saute for a minute.
4. Add turmeric powder. Mix well.
5. Add 3 boiled potatoes and salt. Mash it and mix well.
6. Add chopped coriander. Mix well & turn off flame.
7. Prepare a thick batter by mixing chickpea flour with salt, turmeric powder and water little by little. Let it rest for 10 mins.
8. Apply potato mixture on slice bread and close it with another slice. Cut into half triangles.
9. Now add a pinch of soda bi carb and 1/2tbsp water to the batter and mix well.
10. Dip the sandwich in batter and fry in hot oil on medium flame for 2 - 3 mins.
11. Enjoy with tomato sauce or chutney.
