Donut Biscuits
Ingredients:
500gms Maida
285gms Powdered Sugar
A pinch of Salt
1tsp Baking Powder
2 Eggs
125gms Melted Dalda Vanaspati
50gms Curd
1tsp Vanilla Essence
Oil to deep fry
Method:
1. Mix maida, powdered sugar, salt, baking powder, eggs, melted ghee, curds and vanilla essence. Bring it together to form a smooth dough. If your mixture is too dry add 1tbsp of curd to it. DO NOT USE WATER OR MILK TO KNEAD
Tip : I used 85gms melted dalda vanaspati + 40gms pure ghee .
2. Leave it to rest for 2 - 3 hours.
3. Divide the dough into 5 equal portions.
4. Knead 1 portion for a minute or so.
5. Dust the surface and start rolling out the dough to quarter inch thickness.
6. Cut out donuts using a small donut cutter.
7. Fry on low medium flame till golden brown in color.
