Chicken Shorba
Ingredients:
300g Chicken
1tbsp Ghee
Whole Spices - 1 inch Cinnamon, 2 Cloves, 2 Green Cardamoms
1 Small Onion
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
Grind to paste
8 - 10 Shallots
6 - 7 Garlic Cloves
1 inch Ginger
1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
1tsp Black Pepper Corns
A Small Bunch Of Coriander Leaves
1/4 Cup Water for Grinding Paste
1tsp Salt
2 Cups Water for Shorba
1/4tsp Garam Masala
1/2tsp Chicken Powder
Juice of Half Lemon
Method :
1. Grind shallots, garlic, ginger, cumin, black pepper corns and coriander with a little water to a fine paste.
2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add whole spices and saute for a few seconds.
3. Add chopped onions and saute till translucent.
4. Add turmeric and saute for few seconds.
5. Add chicken and cook till chicken turns white.
6. Add ground paste. Mix well . Add Salt and bring to a boil.
7. Add water, garam masala, chicken powder and lemon juice. Mix well. Bring to a boil and reduce for 7 - 8 mins.
