Marzipan Fruits
Ingredients :
200g Cashewnuts
350g Powdered Sugar
1 Egg White
1/4 - 1/2 cup Rose Water
2 - 3 drops or 1/4tsp Rose Essence
2 - 3 drops or 1/4tsp Almonds Essence
Branded Gel Colors of Your Choice
Method :
1. Wash cashewnuts.
2. Grind cashewnuts to a fine paste using egg white and rose water as required. Try not to use more than mentioned.
3. Transfer cashew paste to a pan along with powdered sugar. Mix well.
4. Add both the essence and mix well again. Do not use more than mentioned.
5. Turn on the flame and cook on low to medium flame for 20 mins or till it leaves the sides of the pan.
6. Test the marzipan by removing a little on a plate. If it forms a ball, its ready. Turn off flame.
7. Leave it in the pan to cool.
8. Once you can handle the heat. Transfer to surface and knead it to form a dough. When cool cover with cling film and set aside in a tiffin or a box at room temp. If you are going to qotk on it the same time do not cover in cling film.
9. Divide and add colors to it.
10. Shape into fruits and allow it to dry at room temp on a baking paper uncovered for 24 hours.
11. Do not refrigerate as it does not spoil. Store in air tight container and Enjoy.
