Shahi Paneer 🧀
Ingredients - Paneer Prep:
300g Paneer
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Turmeric Powder
Pinch of Kasuri Methi Powder
Pinch of Red Chilli Powder
2tbsp Butter
Method :
1. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli and kasuri methi powders to the paneer. Toss it well to coat the paneer.
2. Take butter in a pan. And fry the paneer for for 1 - 2 mins.
Ingredients - Gravy Base :
2tbsp Butter
1 Black Cardamom
1 Cinnamon Stick
2 Green Cardamoms
3 Cloves
1 Star Anise
1 Bay Leaf
100g Onions
250g Tomatoes
10 - 12 Cashewnuts
1tsp Salt
1tsp Degi Mirch
1tsp Sugar
1 Cup Hot Water
Method :
1. Melt butter in a pan. Add whole spices, onion, tomato, cashewnuts and salt. Mix and cook for 4 - 5 mins.
2. Add degi mirch and sugar. Mix well. Add hot water and bring to a boil.
3. Cover with lid and cook for 10 mins.
4. Cool the mixture, discard the whole spices and grind to a fine paste.
Ingredients - Final Dish
100ml Curd
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1tsp Coriander Powder
1/2tsp Cumin Powder
1/2tsp Kasuri Methi Powder
2tbsp Oil
1/2tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
3/4 to 1 cup Hot Water
1/2tsp Garam Masala
1tsp Sugar
2tbsp Fresh Cream
Method :
1. Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, kasuri methi and red chilli powder to curd and mix well.
1. Add oil in the same we fried paneer. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a few seconds.
2. Add curd mixture and cook till oil separates.
3. Add ground paste and cook till mixture dries and leaves the sides of the pan.
4. Add hot water and mix well. Bring to a boil.
5. Add fried paneer. Mix well.
6. Add garam masala and sugar and mix well. Cook for 2 mins.
7. Garnish with fresh cream.
8. Serve with roti, rice or naan and enjoy.
